Personal/Group Dynamics
Gifted students posses unique social/emotional needs that differ from their age peers. It is believed that the gifted child's cognitive needs cannot adequately be addressed without also addressing the child's affective needs. These needs will be addressed and explored through identification, discussion, evaluation, and problem-solving. Gifted students need the opportunity to be among their peers whom they trust in order to develop positive ways of managing these affective needs.
